The Jeweled Postcard Has Been MIA

I'll try and not make up a ton of excuses as to where I've been...I really do love blogging and always have something to tell you all or share with you! I have always been a pretty organized person all my life, everything in order neat and tidy. So where in the world did that person go???????

I retired last year and everything has fallen apart at the seams :( I've thrown myself into promoting my Etsy shop so I'm constantly designing, making messes, cleaning up my messes, taking pictures, on the computer, cleaning up more messes, trying to get organized, yikes, my life has changed so much in the past year. And of coarse at this time of the year I have shows to get ready for, stores want my jewelry, I just don't know how ya all do it? I feel constantly under preasure for one thing or another I just don't know what to do? I love visiting and reading other blogs, it's not that I don't want to visit, I'm just trying to figure out how to do it all.....any ideas or suggestions on how you manage all this in your daily lives I sure would love to hear! I'm so frustrated and I think hubby is wondering where the old "candice" is???

Okay....now that I've shared some feelings, we just got back from a 3 day trip to Chicago! I've never been there...do ya believe that! I've been to Hawaii but not Chicago. So here's a few pictures to share, and maybe a new piece of jewelry too!

  1. I have missed you and understand what you are going through. IF I spend an hour on the computer then that is one hour away from my "real" life. It is so hard to make it all around each post and still limit myself to the hour or so. I want to post, want to read, want to do Etsy shop, want to bead, want to save all the wonderful art work projects...and hubby is somewhere in there. Sometimes I actually resent having to stop and cook or clean. Something is wrong with the picture. I too am going through the very same feelings. I don't have the answers but I know there is someone out there who might. Let's blog and find out! Wooops! See what I mean?

  2. Oh so good to hear from you Sharon! I knew I wasn't alone in this :( I am really frustrated and have days I feel like just giving up my jewelry business (that I so love), but that is what's taking so much time. There's so many other things I want to do. I have so many projects just waiting for me. Not to sell either, just for me or gifts. I keep buying all this pretty stuff to make things and haven't made a thing cause there just is no time.

I think I'll just go in the closet and have a good talk with myself, lol!!! Thank you for re-affirming that I'm NOT alone♥ candice

  3. Candice, thank you for your kind comments on my post. I do have a few more pics and will get them posted soon. I had them ready to go last night but felt Lynns post was so appropriate that I put it as a priority. I will get them out soon. By the way, I have six projects on my desk (just for fun) and haven't a single minute to get to them. That is why I do not sleep well because my mind won't SHUT UP and let me slumber. I even create in my sleep. What is that about? lol
When you get around to making something with the prints could you please let me see them? We encourage each other to create...blessings, dear Candice,

  4. Hi Candice,
I am a very organized person and even I can't keep up with it all!!!
It is frustrating to say the least.
You just have to take it one day at a time and decide what needs to be done, and what can wait to be done.
I know that my laundry and house will still be there tomorrow so I don't rush to tackle those things anymore! LOL! Enjoy your retirement, you haven't been retired long enough not to enjoy it!
